Bible Study

Ephesus was an ancient Greek city and later a major Roman city becoming the second largest city in the world. The city was famed for the Temple of Artemis, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. It is also the site of a large gladiators' graveyard. Later Ephesus became the "flagship" of the Christian churches in Asia Minor. Today, the archaeological site lies in the Izmir Province of Turkey.

The Letter to the Ephesians is Paul's third epistle. Paul starts out his letter with offering grace and peace. God is in charge and He is faithfully working out His good and acceptable and perfect will. We are secure in Him due to the riches of His grace. God's blessings are ours.

Sometimes we may realize we are behaving like our mother and father acted when we were growing up. Paul admonishes us to walk so close to our Savior that His way of life becomes our way of life and His acts of love become the same caring acts we perform in our walk through life. How can we be transformed into His image?

  • read the bible
  • study the gospels
  • pray
  • deal with sin quickly
  • avoid ungodly people
  • love God with all your heart
  • always share in the name of Jesus

When we are obedient to God and rely on the power of the Spirit we will experience our heavenly blessings in Christ as they manifest in God's

  • peace in our life
  • love that is unconditional and constant
  • faith that is strong and unwavering
  • grace with continued blessings
