Bible Study

Father means relationship, father means someone we can know. God is our good, loving, heavenly Father who wants to know us on a personal basis. Jesus came so we can know the Father, experience the love of the Father, and enter into a relationship with the Father through Jesus.

The bible describes four different types of relationships of God. God is the Creator Father, the Father of Israel, the Father of Jesus. lastly, Jesus redeemed us so that we might be adopted into God' family and relate to God as our Father.

God expresses His love through His Word, actions, time, attention, gifts, and His ultimate expression of love is physical. Jesus became flesh and made His dwelling among us.

God's love is great, dependable, eternal, and part of His very being. He is compassionate, relational, dependable, just, patient, forgiving, caring, strong, protective, generous, disciplines, delights in you, and healing. God doesn't prohibit all hardships, protect us from the consequence of every sin or human mistake because we would follow Him based on our desire for comfort, health, prosperity and pleasure. God wants us to love Him for Himself and to live in faith.

God's house reflects His personality. We don't have to wait for heaven to experience the Father's presence. He dwells in the heart of every believer, we are able to enjoy His presence now.

Our desires are far too weak. We settle for what brings us a fleeting measure of happiness and instant pleasure rather than pursue abundant and eternal joy.
