What happens when your plans are interrupted and life goes a different direction than how you planned it...think of it as an opportunity to participate in God's purpose. It's a holy privilege...divine intervention disguised as life's interruptions.
The book of Jonah begins and ends with the word of the Lord. It involves Jonah but is really about God just as your life involves you but should really be about God.

4 God is Righteous
Lessons in Jonah
- obeying God may mean you need to give up some comforts
- something you don't want to do may be an invitation to be part of a really awesome plan God has
- look to help the unloved and forgotten
- God's will may mean you need to leave your comfort zone
- when things are challenging do you run physically, emotionally, mentally or spiritually
- when obeying God is your heart not in it
- God's discipline is a privilege
- God can turn your messes into something good
- life's storms may be for conviction
- God's discipline is to set us on the right course
- God's discipline can prepare you
- God will go to great lengths to restore you
- do you hide old habits
- anytime is a good time to choose to obey
- deliverance comes from the Hebrew word Yesuah-Jesus
- God gives many chances
- don't use your weaknesses as an excuse
- God has prepared the way before hand so step out and obey
- if a whole wicked city can turn and repent then just imagine who else can
- repent and God will relent
- don't miss the truly significant by being caught up the insignificant that only involves you
- if divine favor has been extended to you are you unwilling to show grace to others
- if God takes away something you enjoy then there is a lesson to be learned
- when God is trying to get your attention don't ignore him
