I've fallen in love with a little Mediterranean Greek village...only problem is...it's not in Greece and Greeks haven't lived in it for 90 years. It is called Doganbey, not the modern town but the old village of Domatia which in ancient times was named İpsili. What most people don't know is the most of Turkey was once Greek and under a 1923 mandate 1.5 million Greeks had to leave their homes in Asia minor. By then the vast majority of the Greeks had been driven away violently. When the Greek people had to leave their homes hundreds of villages all over Asia minor were left deserted. I've read that Germans, Americans have been purchasing the houses for about about $30,000 each and restoring them.
