Okay...try not to laugh too hard

We are all excited for the Super Bowl on Sunday. It's fun not to have a home town team and just like a really good game. Erik has been shopping like crazy so we can have a big spread but there is just one little tiny problem...we may be gathered around the radio to listen to the game rather than actually get to watch it. We have an analog tv and we don't have cable. Check out our rabbit ears. Hawaii switched to digital earlier than the mainland as a test but it is not working. Prior to the switch we were able to watch all major net works albeit a bit fuzzy. But now with the converter box we get this...

a very clear " No program" or "weak signal" screen,

and if there is a signal the picture is all pixalated and frozen with no sound and then goes out to the "no program" screen. Needless to say there has not been much tv watching going on in this house...not that there ever was but it was nice to be able to watch football on Sundays.

If it makes you feel any better we don't have cable or rabbit ears! You should see us trying to watch one of our shows on line. To get the best reception I need to have the laptop on my lap on my side of the bed and if I move we loose reception. The good thing about it is Charlie doesn't tickle me!
