Regatta races were going on at Kailua Beach. So there is a high rock promontory at the entrance of Lanikai. It's called the Alala promontory or Ka'ohao which means awakening. This house is lived in by the daughter and grand-daughter of the man who built the house 1931.
These are very narrow steps down.
Right in the floor here a trap door where the kids can crawl underneath-a fort area.
There is more of the house under the deck. There are just amazing views-sun rises over the ocean and sun sets over the mountains.
