Portland

So we head out and about in Portland to see what can see and the first thing are signs beaconing us back to Hawaii,
go figure, the next thing we see is no sun and it's chilly!
Since it's early and nothing is open until later on Mondays we headed to the rose garden in gorgeous Washington Park,

it's chilly,

then we head to OMSI which is a blast,

this is the marina where Fred, Marsha, Erik, Courtney, and Tanya used to live-on a 34' Hunter,

next we went back to the garden since nothing else was open,

Erica found a huge slug,

there are residences all throughout the park-beautiful homes,
http://www.drinkbeerhere.com/Home.html we found the best brew pub-The Broadway Grill & Brewery which is part of the Old Market Brewery...we are still dreaming about the Chocolate Porter and oh my gosh the best Hefeweizen ever, the Golden Ale wasn't bad either...
this is our awesome hotel-the kids got to play at the pool until 11pm, we had free breakfast, a beautiful room for 5, free shuttle to the air port, right next to our car return place-all for just $100. I kid you not!

this is the view when we flew out 7:30 am Tuesday morning-we were back in HI by 10:30 am.
