Bible Study on Peace

We long for peace, it seems like we will purchase anything that will invoke a sense of peace. Peace is a characteristic of God. God has provided real peace for us, we have the provision of God's perfect peace in every circumstance through all of life. How? Rejoice in the Lord always-it is a command to cheerfulness, in the Greek it translates to keep on rejoicing in the Lord no matter what. Let your gentleness be known to all. Gentleness can be translated from the ancient Greek into moderation, forbearance, reasonableness, graciousness, ready to forgive. Be anxious for nothing, anxiousness is not trusting God. Pray. Sow a thought reap an action, sow an action reap a habit, sow a habit reap a character, sow a character reap a destiny. Regardless of outward circumstances our contentment is in Jesus. For this you were born, what ever it is we do now, for this you were born. Our destiny is a permanent home in God's kingdom, all joy, no suffering and complete deliverance from sin.
