Friday, October 9, Castaway Cay

Erica
and Evan with Chip and Dale,
Erica and Ben played together at the beach all day together.
Erik and I decided we were going to solve the treasure hunt. It was a very cool map with a book of clues and riddles for things we had to find throughout the island.

We did it. The kids had no interest so they hung out at the beach.
We kept walking to the end of the road. Snails,
flowers,

fuzzy grass,
frilly flowers,
a gorgeous beach at the end of the road,
we had it all to ourselves,
it was well worth the walk. Disney stashes big water cooler stations along the way...they think of everything.

Evan taking a break from the water,
Owen walked around with me checking out all the wild life,
this is a very cool blue needle fish, there were tons of little silvery ones but this was huge,
stingray,
Erik and I decided to go snorkeling while the kids played. He found the coolest things such as signs,
gorgeous fish that didn't even swim away,

it was so beautiful,
it was shocking how close we could get to the fish, some were huge,
there were schools that didn't swim away when we swam to them, some were all clustered together looking like one giant fish,

various things in the sand to look for,
Peggy said she saw Mickey but we never did find him.

There were tons of little fish everywhere. Erica tried for the longest time to catch one. It was so sweet.
We stay until the island closed,
we had the best time.
Evan in the hallway on deck 6 where our room was.
Erica saying her good-byes to Melroy.

Owen's deserts,
the kids,
Erica saying her good-byes to Melanie. This was Erica's little thing she did when ever she saw her friends on the crew so when they saw her they started doing it too.

The show in the theater was "Remember the Magic," later that night they do another gathering, "Til We Meet Again" in the Atrium. We are waiting for it to begin.
Here the characters come,
then we get to visit and say one final good-bye to the friends we made,
we had so much fun,
and we weren't at all sad,
the evening ends with an explosion of pixie dust, here Erica is scooping up handfuls of it.

That is so great you could spend some time with your husband while the kids were safe on the beach. Now that's a great vacation! Awesome pictures too; the water is soooo clear!
